Local: Learn How to Cook Malaysian Food in 5 Minutes at TryMasak.my

We just stumbled upon a fantastic-looking resource of Malaysian recipes on the Internet. Supported by the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation (MOSTI), TryMasak.my is an online cooking and food video channel featuring contemporary and traditional Malaysian favorites.

Wow, amazing isn’t it? There’s only one caveat. You have to know Bahasa Melayu!

As long as you’re alright navigating the site in BM, you’ll be rewarded with some hard-to-find Malaysian recipes ranging from Malay to Indian, Peranakan to Chinese. From Udang Goreng Mentega (Buttered prawns) to Kerabu Jantung (Banana Flower Salad), Penang Laksa to Peranakan Acar, there’s plenty more video recipes and other instructionals on the website itself.

With more than 12,000 fans on their Facebook page, it is clear that they are doing something right. Let’s just hope the guys behind the website will make this available in English too. Surely the day will come, when all of Malaysia’s deliciousness will be available for all mankind!
