Sambal Ikan Bilis Now Available!(Update: 12 Dec 2011)
Here’s the most flavorful, kickass, yummy homemade dried shrimp sambal you can buy in KK. We picked this up at the KPD Sabah State Farmer’s Cooperative today. This sambal is the perfect condiment to a plate of white rice and it is tasty with fritters too. You can also fry a plate of kangkong with it, or fry it with greens like french beans, long beans, and others. What we loved about this sambal is that it has got the heat from cilipadi (bird chillies), the fabulous taste of the ocean, and it is really flavorful. This super spicy condiment should be bottled up, yum!
It cost us RM7 for this little cup (update 12/12/2011: now RM 8), but well worth every penny. We’re going to get some to give away as gifts so you better hurry before we sweep them all.
